The problem I was working on: proving that a person is present without proving who they are. Most authentication does the opposite. It collects identity and then infers presence from it. I wanted a system that knows you are you without knowing who you are.
Three pieces came out of it.
Continuous authentication from breath patterns, micro-movements and physiological signatures, rather than a one-time login.
Measuring the coherence of a user's state in real time, and using it to adapt an interface or gate access.
Self-owned credentials that can prove presence without a central verifier and without collecting personal data.
